Water charges are currently being introduced across Northern Ireland for the first time.
The Northern Ireland Water Authority are currently introducing water charges. While annual water bills in England can be as high as £600 for the average household, the new charges in Northern Ireland will not be as high initially, but will rise over the next three years. Many customers will pay for water on a metered basis. There are various options available for householders, schools and business who want to reduce their water bills. One such option is to fit a Mecon Water Saver in toilets which will cut toilet water consumption by up to %50 and can reduce water bills by upto 20%.
